Delinquent Vacant Land Tax Notice


PUBLIC NOTICE
TO TAXPAYERS OF AUGLAIZE COUNTY, OHIO
DELINQUENT VACANT LAND TAX LIST
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
 

In compliance with Section 5721.03 of the Ohio Revised Code, notice is hereby given that land and lots returned as delinquent by the Treasurer of Auglaize County, Ohio at the August 2001 tax settlement will be published once a week for two consecutive weeks, namely October 12, 2001 and October 19, 2001 unless the taxes, assessments, penalties and interest on each are paid before date of publication.

Notice is hereby given that delinquent vacant lands in the list are lands on which taxes have remained unpaid for five years after being certified delinquent, and that they are subject to foreclosure and forfeiture proceedings as provided in Section 5721.14 of the Ohio Revised Code.

In order to have names stricken from the published list, payment must be paid in full at least 7 days (1 week) before the date of publication.

Any taxpayer who is currently in arrears on tax payments or who has not entered into an agreement under the provision of Section 323.31; Revised Code of Ohio, is regarded as delinquent under the law, and is subject to publication.

Notice is hereby given that an interest charge will accrue on accounts remaining unpaid after the last day of November unless the taxpayer enters into a written agreement to pay such taxes with the County Treasurer.

Persons owing real estate taxes who have not received a bill through the mail, should inquire in the County Treasure's Office.

The County Treasurer's tax books will be open for payment of real estate taxes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
